Wi-Fi Calling: Stay Connected When Cellular Signal is Weak

Wi-Fi Calling: What It Is and How It Works

Wi-Fi calling is a feature that allows you to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network instead of using your cellular connection. This can be useful in areas where cellular reception is poor, such as in buildings or underground. Wi-Fi calling also uses less battery power than cellular calls, so it can help extend your iPhone's battery life.

How to Set Up Wi-Fi Calling on Your iPhone

To set up Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Phone option.
  3. Tap the Wi-Fi Calling option.
  4. Tap the toggle switch next to "Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone" to turn on the feature.
  5. You may be prompted to enter or confirm your emergency address. Enter your address and tap the Verify Address button.

Additional Notes

If you have an iPhone with Dual SIM, you will need to choose a line to use for Wi-Fi calling. To do this, tap the line you want to use below the SIMs heading.

Wi-Fi calling is only available on iPhone 5c or later.
